Senior Web Engineer (Marketing Site Owner)

Backed by top-tier investors, the company is scaling rapidly and launching new AI-powered product lines. The public website is a mission-critical growth surface — shaping how customers understand the product, brand, and category. As the company expands, web engineering plays a central role in positioning new AI and ML capabilities. The Role: We're looking for a Senior Web Engineer to own and evolve the company's public-facing marketing website. This is a design-forward, hands-on role for someone who cares deeply about craft, performance, storytelling, and shipping high-quality changes quickly. You will: • Lead the design, scoping, and implementation of marketing site projects (homepage updates, feature launches, blog revamps, campaign pages, etc.) • Build CMS-powered systems that allow marketing teams to update content independently • Maintain and evolve the marketing design system • Develop engaging animations and interactive storytelling experiences • Ensure high standards for performance, accessibility, and SEO • Partner closely with marketing and design leaders • Mentor a junior design engineer and raise the overall web quality bar This role comes with high autonomy and meaningful creative ownership.

Experience: • 5–12 years of experience in web/software engineering • Clear ownership of high-traffic SaaS marketing websites • Experience building production-grade marketing sites end-to-end • Background in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments • Strong tenure history (not contract-hopping) Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS • Experience with Next.js (or similar SSR frameworks) • CMS integration experience (Sanity, Contentful, etc.) • Code-based animation experience (Framer Motion, GSAP, or similar) • Strong performance optimization and Core Web Vitals knowledge • Accessibility best practices • SEO fundamentals for marketing sites Design & Product Sense: • Strong visual judgment and attention to detail • Opinionated about typography, spacing, motion, and interaction • Comfortable collaborating directly with designers • Bias toward shipping quickly without compromising polish Leadership: • Experience mentoring junior engineers • Experience leading cross-functional marketing/design initiatives • Comfortable operating with high autonomy
