Tech Lead (Hands-On IC)

We are hiring a hands-on Tech Lead to help mature our backend systems and engineering practices as we scale. This is not a management role. This is a senior individual contributor position for someone who wants to own backend architecture decisions, improve system scalability and reliability, raise engineering standards, mentor through technical excellence, and work directly with founders on infrastructure direction. You will play a critical role in shaping how our systems evolve as usage and complexity increase.

• 5–8 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience • Experience at top-tier VC-backed startups or FAANG-level companies • Currently an individual contributor (not an Engineering Manager) • Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems • Hands-on experience with OLAP or columnar databases (ClickHouse strongly preferred) • Experience mentoring engineers technically

• Experience building infrastructure or developer-facing products • Exposure to distributed systems at meaningful scale • Startup experience and comfort operating in ambiguity • Clear opinions on system design and architectural tradeoffs
